I am interested in systems that exhibit collective motion without being active, as suggested by Bore et al. . In this talk, I will present how equilibrium physics of a spin fluid could provide another perspective on the phenomenology of flocking and collective motion as observed in many variants of out-of-equilibrium dynamics, like the Vicsek model for instance.
